Counterpoint "On-Premise" vs Counterpoint "Online"

Question

We are actually just making the switch to Counterpoint and are trying to decide whether or not to also jump to NCR online or stick with WooCommerce and use your integration software. We are a grocery store and are looking to bring our store to the e-commerce world. All orders will be pickup and pay in store for now, but eventually, we will be able to deliver locally.

We have another business where we deliver packs of food to pickup points, but also allow those customers to add product from kredls to their orders.

Look forward to hearing how you can help.

Answer

Thank you for contacting Modern Retail.  I would be happy to have a discussion with you to brainstorm which option would be better for your business.  We can help you get the “on-premise” version of Counterpoint integrated with WooCommerce.  However, we don’t yet have an integration with their new “online” version.  Modern Retail has been in business for 17 years and has been integrating with POS/ERP systems for over 10 years.  We have done over 1,200 integrations with a variety of POS and ERP systems, so a new integration never scares me ;-)

I have two suggestions for you:

  1. You and I jump on a call to brainstorm these options for you.
  2. You e-mail your representative at Counterpoint online to see if an integration is possible.

If you opt for #2, please copy me on the request, and I’ll immediately reply when I get your e-mail.  I’ll schedule a meeting with NCR to see what integration method would be the best for them.  We have a variety of ways of integrating our two systems which you can read about here:

My guess is they already have an application programming interface (API), and it might be as simple as getting their API talking with our API:

Please let me know what you think and what course of action you’d like to take.  Thanks.
