As a developer, agency, or POS/ERP software provider, one integration is written with our Integration API, and you immediately have access to all the e-commerce platforms we support. How it works!
Modern Retail’s Integrator is a service that sits between the POS or ERP system and the e-commerce platform, allowing the two systems to "talk" to each other. This Integrator controls sending Products from the POS or ERP system to the e-commerce platform where it can be edited and merchandised by the store to be sold online. Orders are fulfilled directly in Shopify, Bigcommerce, WooCommerce or Magento where the consumer's credit cards are charged and the shipping labels are created. All shipped and returned Orders are sent to the POS or ERP for the decrementing and incrementing of Inventory.
Modern Retail has developed extensions for both WooCommerce and Magento which are used for all our POS and ERP integrations. This extension communicates with our Integrator to pass Products, Orders and Customer information back and forth between the POS or ERP system and WooCommerce or Magento. Our Shopify, Bigcommerce and integrations don't need an extension and instead our Integrator communicates directly with these systems.
While the application is fun to look at while it is working, most retailers quickly forget it is there as it quietly works in the background.
