If you're using Modern Retail's order management, you can now assign a Cancellation or Refund reason to your orders. This help page will outline how to create and edit those reasons.
Creating a Cancellation or Return Reason
In the Modern Retail Admin Panel, navigate to Settings > Cancel & Return Reasons. You'll see a new list of default Cancel & Return Reasons.
To add a new reason,
- Navigate to either the Cancel or Return tab.
- Click the NEW+ button to open a new modal window.
In the Create Reason modal window,
- Under Type, select either Cancel or Return
- Type in a short description of the reason
- Save
The new reason will appear on the list.
Edit a Cancel/Return Reason
If you wish to edit a cancel/return reason, navigate to Settings > Cancel & Return Reasons
You'll notice the Editable column has two stauses:
- Yes -- This reason can be edited
- No -- This reason cannot be edited
To edit a reason, click on the Reason name. For our example, we will click on "Defective or Not Working Properly"
The Edit Reason modal window will appear. You have several options:
A. Delete -- This will permanently delete this reason from your list
B. Type -- You can change the reason type from Cancellation to Return or vice versa
C. Description -- You can edit the description of the reason
Once you have edited your reason, click Save.
The order you see on the Cancel & Return Reasons list is the way they will appear when you assign a reason to an order. You can change the order of your Cancel/Return reason list by using the Sort column arrows.
