Overview
Tri-Technical Systems AIM supports three district inventory types in their point of sale system:
- Inventory
- Packages
- NI or Non-Inventory
This article discusses these three inventory types and their support with Modern Retail's integration with Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce and Magento.
Inventory Types
In a nutshell, all three inventory types are supported with Modern Retail's integration. From Modern Retail's perspective, there's no difference between any of these inventory types. Meaning, each inventory type has an SKU, which is used to create the product on your Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, or Magento website.
However, here's a bit more information on these three inventory types and how they might be used:
- Inventory
- Undoubtedly, this is the most commonly used Inventory Type used in AIM, which is used to manage the inventory of your products in AIM.
- Packages
- Packages are also referred to as Bundles or Kits, and as the name implies, are used when selling items in a group. This grouping of products must be sold together and are typically sold at a discount.
- Non-Inventory
- Non-inventoried items are used for products that don't carry an inventory such as classes, tickets, etc.
Please submit a ticket with Tri-Tech's support if you have additional questions about AIM's Inventory Types. Of course, you can always submit a support request in your Admin Panel if you need additional help from Modern Retail.
