Overview
Many retailers make use of Counterpoint's Status dropdown to label certain products as "Inactive" or Discontinued. In this article we'll discuss how the Modern Retail integrator interacts with the status setting in Counterpoint.
Product Status
The screenshot below highlights the Status dropdown. This is used by some Counterpoint users to mark products as inactive or discontinued for internal use.
The Modern Retail integrator does not interact with this Status whatsoever. Setting a product to Active, Discontinued, or Inactive will have no effect on what shows up on your website. This, however, should not be an issue; we'll get to why in the next section.
Products & Inventory
The Modern Retail integrator doesn't display products with 0 inventory on your website. As long as the "Discontinued" or "Inactive" product doesn't have any inventory in your system, you don't have to worry about it showing up on your site.
