As of December 28th, 2020, Modern Retail has discovered an issue with product categories not operating correctly on certain BigCommerce sites. This problem is believed to be on BigCommerce's end, and it can be resolved by contacting BigCommerce support. In this article, we'll discuss this issue in greater detail.
What's the Problem?
In a small number of our clients who use BigCommerce as their ecommerce platform, we've witnessed an issue with categories either displaying products that have been removed from that category, or not displaying products that have been recently added to that category. We believe this is due to a desynched index problem, leading to an issue where the data being displayed on the front end is out of sync with how you've configured your BigCommerce back end.
