Q&A: Adding Data to a Completed Order

Question:

During testing, we created a shipping label outside of Modern Retail, but want to add the tracking number to the shipment. How can we add a tracking number to the order?

Answer:

Because the order was marked as completed, universal order management functionality creates a shipment, which then goes to your POS System. Since the integration recognizes that these items are shipped, you cannot create or add another shipment to the order. The tracking number could be stored in the Comments field of the order.
