I'm impressed with the number of POS integrations and ecommerce platforms you support and have just one question before I sign up. How do you handle outages?
Thinking through this there could be three different systems that could be down:
- Point of Sale System
- Modern Retail

Thank you for your interest in Modern Retail and your kind words about our service. Yeah, we've been doing these integrations for over a decade and like to think we've gotten pretty good at them.
The simple answer to your question is your integration will automatically recover after an outage.
Our Integrator is actually called "middleware" because it sits between your POS system and website. If your POS system or website goes down it knows it and will automatically pick up where it left off before the outage. If our Integrator goes down, then the same thing happens, it picks up where it left off.
Modern Retail of course monitors our services very close to ensure the highest level of availability. Our hosting partner, Rackspace, is instrumental in helping us achieve our availability targets and is on call 24/7/365. We strive to provide 99.99% availability for all of our integration services.
We're happy to share your particular system's uptime and response time report with you, as well as, reports of our API, middleware and any other system used for your integration.
