I have a client who is using the Epicor Prophet 21 application with the EPICOR B2B Seller (website) B2B Seller version 6.2 and Prophet 21 version 12.15.1928.
They like the Prophet 21 system a lot but are looking for alternatives to B2B Seller. I have done another website for them using WordPress, and I wanted to know how far you guys have gotten with integrating Prophet 21 with WooCommerce. I found several articles on your site that hint at this capability, but no publicly available product that I can see. Thanks.
Thank you for your interest in Modern Retail and our Integrators. Yeah, we haven’t yet cracked the Prophet 21 integration nut. Believe it or not, it took us almost a year before we got our hands on the Prophet 21 API documentation.
As I’m sure you know, Prophet 21 also has a product called Epicor Commerce Connect (ECC) which is their module to connect Prophet 21 to Magento. If your customer wants to go with a non-Magento solution, then the above API is the only other option. That’s where we come in. We would love to help you get Prophet 21 integrated with WooCommerce. The good news is we have the integration with WooCommerce already done!
The following article describes how the integration works from the WooCommerce side:
You’ll love our WooCommerce Integrator Dashboard, which gives you an overview of the status of your integration.
You’ll find we’re experts at POS and ERP integrations; it’s something we've been doing for over a decade and have amassed a great deal of knowledge and technology. Here are just some of the articles we could share with you:
- Avoid Overselling (Allocation) - Absolutely a brilliant feature!
- Difference Engine
- 100% Inventory Accuracy
- Connecting Disparate Systems
- Integrating Existing Products
So where does this leave us? Well, getting the integration done with Prophet 21 of course. We need to connect Prophet 21 to our Integration Middleware, which will give you the integration with WooCommerce.
Ideally, we’d like “some” assistance from the Epicor side, specifically someone who’s knowledgeable with the Prophet 21 API.
May I make a suggestion? Could you please ask your client to e-mail their representative at Epicor and let them know they’re interested in getting Prophet 21 integrated with their WooCommerce website? If you copy me on the message, I’ll immediately reply asking to set up a meeting with Epicor (including you of course). Getting our developers to talk with their developers, even for 30 minutes, makes a huge difference and can really help to “jump start” the integration efforts. It will also help us write a fixed-fee proposal for this integration.
Please let me know if you need anything else or would like to jump on a call before getting with Epicor. Thank you.
