Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP)

Question

I need an integration between my point of sale system and website, but I'm very concerned about Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP).  I have many vendors who will not allow me to sell products online that are lower than the MAP.  However, I sell these same products in-store at prices lower than MAP, so I don't want the prices in my POS system to be shown online.  However, at the same time, I would like my POS system to be integrated with my website so it controls my online inventory.

I'm at a loss of what to do here.  Can you help?

Answer

Yes, we can help!  Typically, you're right - the POS or ERP is responsible for both the pricing and inventory.  Meaning, if you change the price or inventory in your POS or ERP system, it will automatically change online.  However, given you need to be careful not to violate the vendors Minimum Advertised Pricing Policy, we can modify your integration to ONLY send the price over when it is initially added.  From that point forward, you'll be able to manage the pricing of your products directly within your website.  Yes, it is a little more work because you'll need to update the prices of your products in both your POS system and your website, but many retailers find this an adequate solution when they need to tightly control the price of their products online.  Do you think this will work for you?

This feature works for all the e-commerce platforms we support today: Bigcommerce, Magento, Shopify and WooCommerce.

Please let me know if you have any more question; I'd be happy to help.  Thank you.
