Question
APS Merchants gave me your info. I have a client I'm trying to get an online store set up for that sells home fabrics (think fabric on your couch or chairs). We are trying to set up everything on WooCommerence with WordPress. We're still early enough that if there is a better platform you recommend, we can switch.
The client is set up with Heartland as their card processor, and we are looking for a POS system that can work with WooCommerence so that everything sold in their retail store can update the inventory online and vice versa. I'm also looking for a system that can give inventory reports so it can help the client make better purchasing decisions. They are a family owned business that has been around for 40+ years and have never upgraded anything. It's a huge investment of labor to get this going and also requires changes in the store to help facilitate online sales, so budget is somewhat of a concern.
I've come across your company in doing research for this in the past, and I would love to hear what recommendations you have for us. I have been trying to move this along for the past few months but have been stuck at this point in it.
Answer
Yeah, the guys at APS Merchants are great, and I will try to help you if I can.
We have a bunch of POS and ERP systems that integrate with WooCommerce “out of the box.” All of these systems can be found here:
You can click on the system name, and you will be directed to a page where you can buy the integration online; doesn’t get more convenient than that.
Picking a POS or ERP system for someone is really hard because the “best” system is relative to you and your needs. It is sort of like buying a car – I would have the same trouble picking out the make, model, color, interior, etc. for you.
However, saying that, you will probably find the following article helpful:
I’d be happy to have a conference call with you as well, just know I’m not an expert in all these systems – although I might be able to give you some guidance based on your requirements.
