Our company makes and sells various items related to the healthcare industry. Currently, we use the Infor product called Visuals for our ERP software and POS system. We are exporting our orders in text format from our ecommerce stores that are backed by WooCommerce and using a plugin to export the text file to a third party FTP software service. That file is then imported using another third party tool that can be read by Visuals, so that our orders can be processed and shipped.
Ideally, I would like to cut out the third party tools and integrate our stores so when our orders are processed, they go directly into our POS system without the need of unnecessary steps. We would also like to be able to update the plugin regularly without much customization. Is this possible?

- API

FTP
What you’re doing now is pretty much Option #1 (FTP) and we can get a two-way integration configured for you if it is easy for Infor to send and get files via FTP. The following articles describes this approach pretty well:

However, if Infor has an application programming interface (API), then this approach is probably better because it is fairly easy to connect Infor’s API to our API. Here’s a couple of articles that describe this approach:
Either approach works really well and it realy all depends on what Infor can support.
May I make a suggestion? Could you please send an email to your representative at Infor and let them know you’re interested in getting their application integrated with WooCommerce? If you copy me on the message I’ll immediately reply asking to set up a meeting with Infor. Getting our developers to talk with their developers even for 30 minutes makes a huge difference and can really help to “jump start” the integration efforts.
