RunIt Shopify Integration

We currently have an e-commerce site that works with Magento on the back end. We use Runit as our POS system. 5 years ago when we built our site, we couldn't use Shopify. Now, it looks like we can through you guys. I'm interested in more info on how that works.

Question

We were referred by our RunIt account manager today regarding the integration
between our online store and inventory system with Runit. Our cash register and inventory system had been using Runit system for many years, and we just created our online store and hosted under Shopify a few months ago.

I would appreciate it if you could help me to find out answers to the below questions from the store owner.

1. For this integration, does empireluggage.net need to purchase "RunIt POS Integrator" from Modern Retail with a monthly subscription? 
2. Does the integration allow a two-way flow of communication between Shopify and RunIt system?  By this, I mean that for any sales that happen on the webstore (Shopify), the data will send to the inventory system (RunIt) for update, and any changes from the inventory system will automatically send to the webstore.
