We have a piece of jewelry that is not in store yet, but we'd like to offer online for special order for later delivery when we receive inventory. Is there any way that we could have it show up online under What's New, even though we don't have any QOH?
Answer
You can do this by creating a product in Store Manager just like any other product that you have entered into your POS. It will not show, as there is no inventory, but if you check off the Allow Backorder box, it will show up on the site, and people will be able to order it.
If the product is already a product in Store Manager, you can do the same thing and then, if you use the "MAKE NEW" button at the top right of the product page, it will show up as new in your new arrivals department.
