We are trying to change slides in our homepage slideshow, but the help page directions for editing slideshows is not working.
Answer
The plugin that your theme is using is slightly different, and is controlled using the Banners section in WordPress.
In order to change this slideshow, you just need to upload the image using the Add Media icon. This will add the image to the slideshow.
The difference to other slideshows is that the link is not set within the image. The link is set lower on the page in the Banners Options field. There you can insert the URL of the page you want the image to go to when clicked.
