Can we turn comments on for our blog posts? We want to use it as a way to connect with our visitors.
Answer
It is very easy to turn the comments on, but there are a few things to be aware of before you do.
While it is a way to converse with your customers, please be aware that it does take a lot of time and energy to manage the comments. You may find that you have to devote quite a bit of time.
Before you can turn on the comments, you must have Akismet in place to filter the spam that invariably arrives with the comments. Here's how to sign up:
- Go to this page: http://akismet.com/plans/
- Sign Up for a Business Account.
- They will provide you with an Akismet "key" which you will provide to us.
- We will set up and then turn on the comments.
