Setting The Product Order In A Category

In Magento, it is very easy to set the order in which products appear in a category. Follow these simple steps.

1. Go to Catalog → Manage Categories → then navigate to the category you wish to edit 
2. To open the category you wish to edit, click it. Select the Category Products tab across the top.
3. In this tab, you will see the list of all the products in this category. The right hand column titled "Position" is where you can order the products. The default value is 1. If all products have a value of 1, the newest product will appear fist on the site. Order the products numerically according to how you would like them to appear on your site. Save Category when you are finished!
