Overview
Collections and Sets are the Store Manager terms for Shoppable Lookbooks.
Collections
- This term refers to the complete lookbook. For example, Resort Wear, 2008.
- You may have more than one collection displayed, or live, on your site at one time.
Sets
- This term refers to the images that make-up a collection.
- You can have an unlimited amount of images within each collection.
Images
- Just as with Product Images, collection and set images need to be cropped, or re-sized before uploading and processing.
- Before uploading, check with either the Project Manager or Support for the correct size to crop your images to.
How do I add a new Collection?
- After logging into Store Manager, go to Products>Collections>Add.
- Name the collection – i.e., Resort Wear, Spring 2008. This is the name that will appear on the site – so be careful with spelling and typos!
- The default in Store Manager is to make the collection available. If you’re not ready for it to be live, simply uncheck the available box.
- Upload the image that you would like to represent your collection. This is the image that will be displayed on the collections landing page on your site.
- Be sure to check the “available” box!
How do I add Sets to a Collection?
- Go to Products>Sets.
- From the drop down menu, select the Collection you’d like to update.
- If you have any images in the collection already, the page will refresh and display the images already in the Collection.
- Click “add”.
- Enter a name/description for the image. You may choose to itemize the products in the image here. This name will appear on the site, under the large set image – so be careful with spelling and typos!
- Check which collection the image belongs to. You can choose more than one collection.
- Upload the image.
- Be sure to check the “available” box!
- In the Products area, select the correct department or category from the dropdown. (The default is set to display the department, to change to categories, simply click the radio button.)
- Below the dropdown you’ll see all the products for the department/category displayed. Simply check the products you’d like associated with the image.
- When you’re done selecting products, click “add”.
- The associated products will now display on the screen.
How do I upload an image for both Collections and Sets?
- You upload an image for Collections & Sets just like you upload product images. Select “upload image”; search for it on your computer by selecting browse; then select “upload” when you’ve found the image.
- Just as with product images, Store Manager will automatically create the Thumbnail image from the main image. You only need to upload the default, however, you can upload a thumbnail image as well.
Do I need to process my Collections/Sets images?
- Yes! Just as with product images, you must process all collections/sets images. This is done from the same place that you process product images – Products>Process Images>Process.
Can I control the order the Collections appear on my site?
- Yes! To change the order the Collections will appear, simply click anywhere on the collection you’d like to move and drag and drop it to the correct order.
- Be sure to hit “save order” when you’re done!
Can I delete a Collection?
- No. However, you can make it “unavailable” by unchecking the available box.
Can I control the order the Sets appear within a Collection?
- Yes! To change the order the sets appear, simply click anywhere on the set you’d like to move and drag and drop it to the correct order.
- Be sure to hit “save order” when you’re done!
Can I delete a Set?
- Yes! Simply click on the “delete” button beside the set information.
- Rather than delete an image, you can also make it “unavailable” by unchecking the available box.
Can I control the order the products I associate with a set appear?
- Yes! Just as with controlling the order of Collections and Sets, you simply drag and drop the products in the order you’d like them displayed.
- Be sure to hit “save” when you’re done.
Can I remove a product from a set?
- Yes! Simply click on delete next to the product.
