Overview

After you install Modern Retail's Quickbooks POS Integrator, it needs to be configured.  The instructions below describe how to configure this Integrator.

This will display the Computer Name in a window similar to the following:

Quickbooks always capitalizes the Computer Name under Tools > User Information.  However, this is case-sensitive so you many need to double-check Microsoft Windows for this setting.  The Computer Name can be found in Windows under System Properties.  However, this screen will often show a period in the Computer Name which should NOT be entered into the configuration.

Company Data

You can find the Quickbooks POS Company Data name by going to File > Company Data > Open.

The popup that’s displays shows the name of Company Data file you are currently using.  Please make note of the capitalization, spacing and any other formatting of this name as it needs to be typed in IDENTICALLY into the Integrator’s Configuration screen.

Version

The Version can be found by going the Help > About Point of Sale in Quickbooks.

At the very top of the screen that’s shown you will see something like “Quickbooks Point of Sale Version 5.0 R13”.  However, you ONLY need to type the base number, 5 in this case, into Integrator’s Configuration screen.
