Is there any way to export the email data into another email system?
The answer to this question depends on how you use and access your email. Do you use Modern Retail's Webmail exclusively or do you use a PC-based program like Microsoft Outlook.
Lets face it most of us live and die by our email. Because email is so important, Modern Retail highly encourages you to seek an IT professional to help you migrate your email to a new provider. Migrating your email, contacts and calendar is not something that is done by Modern Retail. Once a mailbox has been deleted from Modern Retail's servers, all messages, contacts and calendar items will be lost forever.
If you use Modern Retail's Webmail exclusively to read, reply and compose messages, then you may want to consider using an IT profession to help you migrate your email to another service such as Gmail.
If you don't have an IT professional, or want to do it yourself, then you might want to consider using a 3rd party solution like MigrationWiz.
We've used MigrationWiz dozens of times and it does a nice job of moving email from one provider to another one. However, you will need to move your Contacts and Calendar items separately as MigrationWiz only moves your messages. For these items you can export them directly from Webmail.
Please work with your new email provider or IT professional to get your Contacts and Calendar items imported correctly into your new platform.
Export and saving email from a PC program like Microsoft Outlook is a bit more involved and dependent upon what type of connection you have with Modern Retail's Email Server. While you can check the Help system in your respective program, we encourage you to talk to an IT professional first.
With a little planning and preparation, you should be able to migrate your Modern Retail email, contacts and calendar items to virtually any service provider.
