You may occasionally see "Out of Balance" errors should up on your orders. In this article, we'll talk about why these errors show up, and how you can quickly rectify them.
Out of Balance
If you see a red "Out of Balance" error on an order (typically preceded by the receipt number for that order), that indicates that there's an imbalance between the total on the order in the admin panel, and the total on that same order in Lightspeed. This could be a couple cents off due to a sales tax issue, or a handful of other edge case scenarios. These errors are typically minor, and not indicative of a larger issue (unless they're occurring frequently).
If you see this error, simply go to that order in Lightspeed, and correct the total so it matches the value from the Admin Panel. If the orders match, the Integrator will detect that they're no longer out of balance the next time it checks for orders.
