Notifications in the Admin Panel

Overview

If you look in the upper left corner of the Modern Retail Admin Panel, you'll see a small bell icon. This is where any notifications Modern Retail sends you will show up. In this article we'll talk about how to use the Notifications page, and what kind of notifications you can expect to see.

Checking Notifications

The notification icon is in the upper left hand corner of the Admin Panel. It should be there no matter what Admin Panel page you're on.

If you have any unread notifications, the bell will "ring", and a small red bubble will display the number of unread notifications, as can be seen above. Hover over the icon with your mouse to see a preview of your notifications, or click on it to head to a page with more information.

The notification page will display all your notifications. Unread notifications will be highlighted with a red stripe on the left, and a blue "New" tag. You can click on the "X" on the right side of an unread notification to dismiss, or you can click on Dismiss All in the top right corner to mark all notifications as read.

What Will I Get Notifications For?

Modern Retail will likely send you notifications for a few different things, so here's a short list:

  • New features, improvements, or design changes likely to affect you or your customers
  • New updates to the Modern Retail Admin Panel or Integrator
  • Unexpected downtime or other outages
  • Changes to billing or expected services

Notifications of significant severity may be accompanied with an email sent to the address you use to log in to the Modern Retail Admin Panel.
