Roadie Delivery Order Workflow

Overview

Orders made using Roadie as a delivery option go through a different workflow compared to "regular" orders. In this article, we'll go over the process Roadie orders go through before being sent to the customer, so you can have a thorough understanding of how these orders work.

Order Processing

To begin, as soon as an order is marked as "Out for Delivery", it is sent to Roadie. That means the order is in Roadie's system, and will appear for Roadie drivers. From there, a Roadie driver accepts the "gig", or order delivery, and will arrive to pick up the order for delivery.
Once the order has been delivered to the intended location, the driver will mark the order as delivered in Roadie's system. Once that's been done, a status update is sent to the Admin Panel, and the order status is changed to "Completed". As soon as this happens, the customer who placed the order will receive an email noting that their order has been completed and delivered.
