Can you explain why it is necessary for Modern Retail to produce a new Counterpoint drawer sessions for each online sale? Why can't a single drawer session be used for this?
A CounterPoint Drawer Session is exactly what the name implies, a "session" that records one or more CounterPoint POS transactions in a period of time. The act of importing orders into CounterPoint is a complex process. We strive to do our very best at maintaining data integrity of the imported web store data into CounterPoint. If we were to use a single drawer session for all your online transactions we would have to contend with concurrency issues. Therefore, the Integrator is designed to work with single Drawer Sessions to keep the integrity of your orders being imported into CounterPoint.
