New Certificate to Avoid Chrome Warning Message

Overview

Over the past few months Symantec has been feuding with Google over their SSL / TLS certificates.  Starting on August 8, 2017 Google's Chrome browser will start mistrusting all Symantec, GeoTrust, Thawte and RapidSSL branded certificates issued before June 1, 2016.  The reasons Google has decided to mistrust these certificates are discussed below in emails from Symantec.  You may also want read about them here:

If you received a support request from Modern Retail, this means your website is using one of these older certificates and a new certificate must be reissued prior to August 8, 2017.

There is nothing you need to do as Modern Retail will purchase and install the new certificate on your behalf.  Additionally, Modern Retail does not anticipate your website having any downtime as a result of installing this new certificate on your site.

Please reply to the support request if you have any questions.  Thank you.
