Question
We have an existing ecommerce solution we're looking to replace with Modern Retail's integration. While we configure the new integration, we want to make sure that we don't shut down our existing solution for at least one of our two locations so that our website is still functional. Is this possible?
Answer
Yes it is! Modern Retail has worked with Tri-Tech on dozens of integrations for our clients, and we've solved a host of similar concerns from past clients.
Let's break the issue down. For this example, let's say you have two locations: Store A and Store B. You want to use store B to test the connection with Modern Retail's integration, while keeping store A working as normal so customers can still make purchases. To do this, you'll want to head to the Web Categories menu in AIM. Set the Modern Retail web category up with a storeID of 9; this will prevent the web category from being sent to the store A, and preventing any gaps in service. Store B's orders will come out of AIM's available quantity immediately, and store B's will come as soon as you pull them in (presumably, this may vary depending on your previous service).
